Application
There have been a heap of application improvements to improve your experience with warehousing, inventory, and multi-company features. Some of these features include printing and scanning barcodes, making transactions between companies across BC environments, and adjusting exchange rates.
Inventory Counts and Adjustments
Inventory Receipt documents, Physical Inventory Order documents, Inventory Shipments documents, and the Adjust Inventory page, have received changes to improve adjusting inventory processes and completing counts.
Navigation improvements
It’s now easier to navigate to invoices, receipts, credit memos, and shipments when doing sales, purchases, and service orders. These different tasks often correspond with each other, so being able to easily access them will improve your workflow.
Intercompany Transactions
You can now more easily handle transactions for multiple companies that use different business central environments.

Improvements have been made to inventory and warehouse to enhance the usability for users, data is easier to access, and help is available to create warehouse employees.
Pages can now have more Columns
Improve insights by adding more personalised columns to provide the best information for specific people and tasks. Many more pages can now have a personalised Description 2 field.
Document and Posting Dates can be synced for Sales and Purchases
This new feature improves accuracy and helps to comply with standards with the option to not only synchronise document and posting dates but also decouple them.
Availability Overview
Check the availability of items in your warehouse in real time. You can also get information on item locations, processing stages, and more. It can even tell you if certain items have been reserved.
Customer Statements
See what customers owe you within a customer statement report. You can also select to view Open Items and select within a date range.
Payables and Receivables
You can now use different general ledger account to post payable and recievable transactions.
Suggestions
Sales and production orders can now receive suggestions from Business Central based on inventory stock about what step to take next.
More Updates
- Use references to identify and track items in your inventory. More pages have Item Reference No. available.
- Barcodes can now be printed and scanned.
- Item journals and warehouse worksheets can be edited in Excel.
- You can now block certain item variants so they won’t appear in sales and purchase lines.
- ‘Jobs’ are now called ‘Projects’.
- The option to have Customer Statements only show open entries.
